Come for a festival weekend

Riebeek Kasteel is quiet most of the time, and that makes its festival weekends all the more fun.

The Swartland Olive Festival takes over the valley in late September. Solo Studios, the art festival, opens dozens of artists' studios in late October. The Swartland Street Party brings producers pouring their wines on Short Street in November.

Every month there are smaller occasions too: First Fridays, when the village stays open late, and the Village Market on the first Saturday morning.
