A walk through the galleries

Art is part of village life here all year. Gallery 7 on Plein, in the tourist information building, shows work by local artists. Gallery Riebeek Kasteel faces the Royal Hotel. Môi Art is on Fontein Street, and the Blacksmith Yard in Riebeek West mixes making and exhibiting.

Several artists open their studios by appointment. Ask in the galleries: people are generous with introductions.

Die Boomhuis in Riebeek West also has a small art gallery among the plants, and the Royal Hotel and several restaurants hang work by local painters.

Plan a slow loop on foot from Huis Agt, with coffee halfway.
