Racing in the valley: MTB and trail runs

Flat-ish farm roads, a mountain on the doorstep and very little traffic make the Riebeek Valley popular for endurance events.

The Riebeek Valley MTB and trail run, traditionally hosted from Riebeek Cellars, offers routes through vineyards and olive groves at several distances, with something for children too. The PPC Riebeek Bergmarathon offers road distances from a 5 km fun run up to a full marathon.

Dates change from year to year, so check our events calendar or the organisers' pages before you plan a trip around a race.

Even if you are not racing, race weekends are fun to watch. Restaurants fill up, so book dinner early.
